About | After graduating from law school and a successful career in the internet sector, working for companies like Vivendi Universal, Vodafone, and @Home, Suzan Fluitman founded Bearleaders, named after the first travel guides in European history during the Grand Tour in the 17th century.
When travelling extensively worldwide for work and leisure, she noticed it became more and more difficult to find trustworthy recommendations, especially when the influencer hype started. The question was how to unlock independent travel and lifestyle tips from well-traveled people with taste, like Michelin-star chefs, artists, designers, hoteliers, and more.
That is when the idea of Bearleaders was born. Today's Bearleaders share their best experiences on where to eat, drink, stay, and what to do in easy-to-use, regularly updated Guides.
Bearleaders was launched just before the pandemic. The world of travel has been tumultuous and challenging these last few years. This market requires constant innovation, and the latest product for hotels and tastemakers is out: unique experiences hosted by hotels and/or tastemakers.
