About | Working in many restaurants all over Europe, Martin has been a chef for over 27 years. He received his first Michelin Star in 1996. Beginning his career in Brussels, he returned to the Netherlands 25 years ago and started building his paradise, 'De Lindenhof' in Giethoorn. Nicknamed 'The Sailing Chef’, Martin offers an exclusive touring experience of Giethoorn, known as the ‘Dutch Venice’. He takes his guests on his boat with champagne and small bites while telling them about the beautiful surroundings.
