The Volkhardt family has privately owned and run the hotel for five generations. It opened its doors after King Ludwig wished for a first-class hotel in the city. With its 125th anniversary, we can call it an icon of Munich. With five restaurants, including the two Michelin-starred Atelier, six bars, and 337 rooms, it is a luxury travellerโs dream.
